SUMMARY

This is a favorite poem that I used to recite to my son when he was little. In this book Dad and son fall asleep reading on the couch, (which also happens in our house). Mom puts the toddler to bed; but who has the shoe?

The dog in this book is Dylan’s best friend Meg, (short for Nutmeg). Meg is very sweet golden retriever. She is a rescue dog. She spent most of her first three years in a crate before she came to live with our neighbors. She loves to play with her new family, and their goats, horses, cats. She and Dylan love to run together through the meadows and woods. Sometimes she comes to my studio door to see if Dylan can come out to play.
